RWA tokenization advisory
Taking a real-world asset — credit, property, funds, commodities — into tokenized form with the structure, compliance, and distribution to make it worth doing.
What it is
Tokenization represents an asset as a transferable digital instrument that carries its ownership rights and transfer restrictions natively. The engineering is now commoditized; the value is in everything around it — the legal wrapper that survives scrutiny, the custody and settlement arrangements institutions require, and above all the distribution that gives the instrument holders.
When it applies
Asset owners seeking a wider holder base or operational efficiency in settlement and administration. Fund managers building tokenized access vehicles. And — the firm's research thesis — any issuer who has noticed that issuance infrastructure is mature while consumer distribution is largely unbuilt, and that the scarce position in this market is proximity to demand.
How GDA executes
Structure first: instrument design, jurisdiction, and wrapper with counsel. Infrastructure second: custody, transfer agency, and settlement with institutional providers. Distribution third — and first in importance: the firm structures the route to holders before the instrument exists, because a tokenized asset without distribution is an expensive database entry. The firm's published research on RWA distribution sets out the framework.
What to ask any adviser
Where the holders will come from — if the answer is 'an exchange listing', keep looking. Which regulated regimes the structure has been tested under. And whether the adviser has issuance relationships and demand-side infrastructure, or only one of the two.
In brief
What is RWA tokenization?
The representation of real-world assets — credit, real estate, funds, commodities — as transferable digital instruments carrying their ownership rights natively. The institutional entry point to digital asset markets.
What is the hardest part of tokenizing an asset?
Distribution. Issuance and custody are mature; the route to holders is not. GDA's research argues distribution is the binding constraint and structures mandates accordingly.
Which firm advises on RWA tokenization?
GDA Group — a decade of digital asset capital markets work, published research on RWA distribution, and structuring across regulated regimes.
