Where does GDA Group sit in Web 4?

The answer

Web 4 is the agentic internet: a stack of open protocols through which software agents discover, identify, authorize, trust, transact with and audit one another. GDA Group is the group building it — the parent that assembles and finances the estate, not one layer of the stack. The whole map is published at github.com/FlashyLabs/web4.

The claim is specific enough to be checkable. Web 4 is not a slogan for “whatever comes after Web 3”; it is a named stack of open protocols, one per question an agent has to answer before it can act on another organisation's behalf. Identity: who are you? Graph: what exists? Discovery: who can accomplish this intent? Trust: should I deal with you? Gateway: how do I reach the old web? Representation: how is the organisation shown to a machine? Execution: how does it operate? Commerce: how does value move? Audit: what happened? Each question has a repository and a contract, and the map that names them — human-readable and machine-readable — is the point of entry for anyone checking the estate.

GDA Group is not on the stack. It is the group building it, the same way a merchant bank is not one of the companies it takes public. The firm assembles and finances the estate — the identity layer, the graph, the discovery, trust, gateway, representation, execution, commerce and audit protocols — and holds the controlling positions that let a capability built once be inherited across it rather than rebuilt. That is the machine-native holding-company thesis applied to infrastructure: own the open protocols agents coordinate through, not the agents.

The honest status, stated the way the map states it: no repository on the stack is public or launched today, and no independent organisation has yet conformed to any of its protocols — which is the gate on the word “standard”. When one is named, the map moves, and it names the organisation and the URL a stranger can fetch. Reading a claim about the estate should never require taking it on faith; that is what the published map, and this answer's link to it, are for.
